children’s summer camp - climbing for kids
A week’s climbing holiday for youngsters between 7 and 14 years of age.
In addition to climbing, the children also go on trips every day so they can learn about the mountains, visit shepherds’ huts, see the mountain flora and fauna and play games in the great outdoors.
The youngsters are accompanied by a mountain guide and experienced adults throughout their stay.
Accommodation is a comfortable cabin that serves excellent meals.
Climbing equipment will be provided by the mountain guide.
Information:
Alpe Devero: We meet at the Castiglioni cabin in Alpe Devero on Sunday, 20th June between 7.00 and 8.00 pm. Parents are kindly requested to let us know if they would like to join us for the evening meal in the cabin. Activities begin on Monday morning. The children get at 8.15 am, have breakfast and then start the climbing school at 9 - 9.30 am. We break at 12.30 for a packed lunch provided by the cabin. Rock climbing then continues until 5.00 pm when we go back to the cabin for games until it’s time for the evening meal. Activities finish on Friday at about 6.00 pm.
The youngsters can leave the cabin by 11.00 am on Saturday, 26th June.
Alagna: We meet at the Sant’Antonio cabin in Val Vogna on Sunday, 27th June, between 7.00 and 8.00 pm. Parents are kindly requested to book if they would like to stay for the evening meal. Activities begin on Monday morning following the same schedule used for the rock-climbing school at Alpe Devero, and finish on Friday at about 6.00 pm. The youngsters can leave the cabin by 11.00 am on Saturday, 3rd July.
Pricing: € 450 for one week.
€ 850 for two weeks.
What’s included: a mountain guide, full board from the evening meal on Sunday to breakfast on Saturday, and climbing equipment.
What’s not included: drinks or any extras.
Equipment: trekking shoes or trainers, a sweater, a waterproof jacket, warm clothing and spare clothes, and a rucksack.
